At Fostering Curious Kids our mission is to support literacy learning for the whole family. We do this through literacy lessons for children that are engaging, fun, and rooted in the Science of Reading. We want to support parents and guardians in guiding children in learning and growth. Our goal for grown ups is to provide information and easy to use resources, that don't require additional products, and can be embedded into what you're already doing at home.
Thank you for supporting Fostering Curious Kids, believing in our mission, and providing an environment for your child to get curious with their learning.
Hi! My name is Kimberly and I'm a mom, educator, wife, and book lover. I've worked in education and with kids my entire career: a nanny, teacher (Kindergarten all the way to high school), mentor, and speaker. I have a Masters in Educational Leadership, Masters of Arts in Teacher and am IMSE Orton-Gillingham trained.
Four years ago when I had my first child I watched my perspective of what it means to be an educator shift. I have worked on how to guide my child in their learning, set a strong foundation for literacy learning, and how to do that without it overwhelming our already busy life. Allowing my child to do structured literacy lessons and then participate, observe, and get curious about what we are doing in already day to day - with small intentional changes - has made the biggest impact.
